Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Superintendent in Phoenix to lead field operations for complex water and wastewater infrastructure work. The role directs safety, quality, scheduling, production, subcontractor coordination, and self-perform activities from mobilization through completion.

Project Details

Projects include water and wastewater facilities with scopes such as underground utilities, concrete structures, earthwork, and process facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate trade contractors and company crews across multiple construction scopes.
• Build and maintain schedules, including three-week lookaheads, productivity plans, and cost-report tracking.
• Lead site meetings and collaborate with clients, consultants, trades, and internal project teams.
• Apply safety, environmental, quality, contract, and risk-management requirements in field operations.
• Resolve conflicts, address field challenges, and develop effective stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• Approximately 15 years of progressive field-supervision experience is preferred.
• Journeyman certification or a related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• NCSO designation is required; Gold Seal program enrollment is preferred.
• Experience supervising construction workforces and applying construction methods, specifications, scheduling logic, and engineering principles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship and transfers are not available.
