Superintendent Central Florida (Orlando Tampa)

Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction operations across Central Florida, supporting work from the Orlando and Tampa offices. This role leads field coordination, contractor performance, safety, quality, and timely execution for the owner.

Project Details

Potential market experience includes higher education, aerospace, sports facilities, and healthcare construction throughout Central Florida.

Responsibilities

• Support scope development, bidding activities, bidder discussions, and contractor selection.
• Implement site safety requirements, including pre-task planning and field compliance.
• Direct daily site labor and coordinate contractor sequencing to reduce conflicts.
• Assist with budget oversight, forecasting, cost control, and change monitoring.
• Develop project logistics plans that improve productivity and limit disruption to building occupants.

Required Experience

• At least three years of direct project supervision experience, including trade coordination.
• Four-year technical or engineering degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills with contractors, architects, owners, and internal teams.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, performance standards, environmental requirements, and workplace safety.
