Superintendent - Ground Up

Job Summary

Lead field supervision and coordinate construction work through project completion.

Responsibilities

• Organize, train, direct, and coordinate field staff and subcontractor work.
• Maintain project schedules, review plans and submittals, and coordinate subcontractor meetings.
• Enforce safety procedures and set quality standards.
• Manage materials, tools, reports, punch lists, testing, turnover, and project closeout.
• Build effective working relationships with owners and architects.

Required Experience

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including four years as an Assistant Superintendent.
• Extensive supervisory field construction experience and knowledge of construction trades.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification, or obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active status.
• Experience as a foreman or journeyman in at least one trade, or as a Project Engineer.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control.
