Superintendent- Ground Up Buildings

Job Summary

Lead field supervision for ground-up building construction, coordinating teams and project activities through completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, construction quality, safety procedures, materials, and field teams, including subcontractors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals; coordinate subcontractor meetings and maintain project reports.
• Oversee punch lists, startup testing, turnover, closeout, and owner acceptance.
• Build effective working relationships with owners and architects, and travel or oversee multiple projects as management requires.

Required Experience

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience including four years as an Assistant Superintendent.
• Extensive supervisory-level field construction experience and knowledge of construction trades; prior foreman, journeyman, or project engineer experience in at least one trade.
• Current Safety Trained Supervisor certification, or obtain it within six months of hire and maintain active status.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements, scheduling, planning, expediting, and cost control; strong problem-solving ability and urgency.
