Superintendent II/Project Superintendent - Wind

Job Summary

Mortenson seeks a Superintendent to coordinate and lead field teams on large-scale wind and other utility or industrial projects, supporting safe, organized project delivery and strong customer relationships.

Project Details

The role focuses on wind work and other large industrial and utility projects. Wind experience is a plus; candidates should bring experience on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate field activities, materials, equipment, and inspections to support project schedules.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability, and coordinate with design engineers.
• Build and manage schedules and site logistics in collaboration with project partners.
• Coach and supervise team members, lead planning sessions, and support team development.
• Monitor work progress and provide oversight of safety, quality, risk, and compliance.

Required Experience

• For Superintendent II, at least eight years of construction management or related experience.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Experience on large commercial projects, self-perform work, scheduling, and leading diverse field teams.
• Current driver's license and OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to travel up to 100% and work a three-week Monday–Saturday rotation followed by seven days at home.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range is $130,100–$195,200, with location-based adjustments noted for select cities. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, and dental coverage; a 401(k) match; paid time off; insurance; tuition reimbursement; and adoption assistance.
