Superintendent Structures Southeast

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Structures Superintendent to lead field operations for heavy civil and structural transportation projects throughout the Southeast. The role directs crews, subcontractors, equipment, and resources while maintaining safe, timely, and high-quality project delivery.

Project Details

The Southeast District delivers transportation and water infrastructure across the region, including bridges, roads, airports, mass transit, tunnels, dams, water and wastewater facilities, drainage improvements, and pedestrian trail reconstruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise daily field work, workforce assignments, equipment use, and material deliveries.
• Promote the company’s Zero Harm safety culture and enforce applicable safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other project partners.
• Track schedule, quality, productivity, inventory, documentation, daily reports, and timecards.
• Address performance issues and develop field personnel through coaching and mentoring.
• Prepare or review crane pick plans and support work across changing site conditions, including mountainous terrain.

Required Experience

• At least five years of civil or structural construction experience, including two years in a supervisory capacity.
• Bridge, roadway, concrete, and structural steel construction experience.
• High school diploma required; a construction management or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, attendance, and deadline-management skills.
• Availability for travel, relocation, overtime, weekends, and assignments at varying project locations.
