Trade Foreman 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Trade Foreman 1 in Charlotte to perform self-perform construction work while leading a crew on commercial jobsites. The working foreman completes hands-on tasks, supports production goals, and helps develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned trade work using tools and supervise crew activities.
• Track production units, labor hours, crew sizes, and timecards.
• Maintain tools and equipment, coordinate material deliveries, and support trade coordination.
• Lead crew safety and security practices, including toolbox talks, job hazard analyses, and SIMS reporting.
• Read plans, specifications, shop drawings, and coordination drawings.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain, document, and update punch lists.
• Support quality standards, productivity goals, and on-the-job team development.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; related vocational or technical education preferred.
• At least 2 years of commercial construction experience.
• Working knowledge of self-perform operations, labor productivity, construction methods, layout, crane flagging, and rigging.
• Ability to read construction plans and collaborate with project teams, suppliers, and trade partners.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
