Traveling Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the country. This role offers hands-on leadership experience and the chance to make a direct impact on critical civil construction work.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and purchase project materials.
• Maintain as-built documentation throughout construction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with owners and architects/engineers on-site.
• Conduct inventory analysis and verification.
• Perform construction site surveying.

Required Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience leading crews on heavy civil construction projects in the water and wastewater industry.
• Strong safety mindset and demonstrated leadership skills.
