Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a senior Electrical Construction Manager based in Houston to direct field operations and manage engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project administration for major Oil, Gas and Chemical work.

Project Details

Kiewit Energy delivers engineering, procurement and construction services across oil and gas, refining, chemical, petrochemical, biofuel, and other process-industry projects. The position supports large projects at changing locations based on business and career needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and align scope, schedule, budget, procedures, and controls.
• Oversee engineering, constructability, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Represent the project with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage scope changes, approvals, client communication, quality requirements, and code compliance.
• Train and mentor entry- and mid-level engineers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent project management experience.
• At least 10 years of related energy-industry experience and 10 years of direct oversight on self-performed construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook for project administration and controls.
• Professional Engineer licensure is desirable.
• Reliable attendance, effective communication, safe work practices, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varying site conditions.
