Job Summary

Kiewit Equipment Services is seeking a Traveling Equipment Superintendent to lead equipment maintenance, readiness, utilization, and cost control for construction projects nationwide.

Project Details

This field leadership position supports Kiewit transportation and construction projects throughout the United States, with assignments and starting locations determined by available work and team development needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead field equipment maintenance and readiness activities to support project requirements.
• Promote safe, quality-focused work through direct leadership and supervision.
• Track equipment costs, utilization, maintenance, and project performance.
• Prepare equipment recap reports for senior management.
• Train, coach, develop, and support the engagement and retention of direct and indirect reports.
• Coordinate with district teams, joint venture partners, and project personnel.
• Use company systems to document maintenance and equipment utilization.

Required Experience

• At least five years of experience in a mechanical-related field.
• Degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or comparable construction-related experience.
• Knowledge of construction safety requirements, engineering, and construction methods.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, and basic computer skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, sometimes on short notice, and work overtime or weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in office and project-field environments and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $98,000-$120,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, and paid time off.
