Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is hiring a Traveling Project Manager to lead complex sports and entertainment construction projects across the Carolinas and Georgia. This role partners with owners, designers, trade contractors, and field teams to deliver venues from preconstruction through closeout.

Project Details

The Sports & Entertainment market includes large-scale stadiums, arenas, and event spaces designed to support major fan and community experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, bidder lists, scopes of work, bid documents, and subcontracts.
• Coordinate project scheduling, site logistics, cash flow, manpower projections, constructability reviews, and jobsite mobilization.
• Establish the site safety plan and culture, manage punch list completion, emergency procedures, owner equipment, and MEP or BIM coordination.
• Manage general conditions, trade budgets, cost reporting, change management, job profitability, and payment processes.
• Lead project meetings and oversee RFIs, submittals, documentation, closeout, agency acceptance, and architect-engineer communications.
• Support labor relations, business development, proposals, and presentations for future work.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least six years of general contractor or construction management experience.
• Sports venue construction experience is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to support projects throughout the Carolinas and Georgia.
