Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead large-scale sports and entertainment venue construction across the Carolinas and Georgia. The first assignment is a major venue project in Macon, GA, requiring full-time on-site presence.

Project Details

Work centers on high-profile stadiums, arenas, and event spaces. The role sits within Barton Malow's growing Sports & Entertainment market and involves complex, fast-paced builds with owners, designers, and trade contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop bidder lists, manage bid documents, lead pre-bid meetings, and write subcontracts including design-assist and professional services agreements.
• Build and maintain complex project schedules, site logistics plans, cash flow projections, and constructability reviews.
• Establish and oversee jobsite safety culture and emergency crisis procedures.
• Create and manage general conditions budgets, monitor project costs, and oversee the change management process in Prolog.
• Facilitate project team meetings, manage RFI and submittal workflows, and serve as the primary liaison with the Architect/Engineer.
• Manage agency acceptance, code official coordination, and full project closeout.
• Support business development activities including RFP responses and client presentations.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 6+ years of GC/CM construction management experience.
• Sports venue construction experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work on-site across NC, SC, and GA as projects require.
