Job Summary

Bird Electric Enterprises is hiring a non-union Lineman Foreman to supervise crews installing and repairing high-voltage cables and electrical distribution systems in industrial construction settings. The role emphasizes safe, efficient, and specification-compliant field execution.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft workers, coordinate with other trades, and provide on-the-job training.
• Plan crew activities, prepare one-week schedules, set production goals, and monitor labor and materials.
• Lead daily pre-job planning, toolbox meetings, lockout/tagout compliance, and incident reporting.
• Inspect work, equipment, and field conditions for quality, safety, and compliance with plans and industry standards.
• Review timecards, collect quantity reports, complete craft performance reviews, and communicate project needs to supervision.

Project Details

The work involves industrial construction and electrical power or distribution systems, including high-voltage cable installation and repair, poles, and transmission structures.

Required Experience

• Journeyman Lineman experience or an equivalent combination of education and industrial construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of installing or repairing high-voltage power and distribution cables or wires.
• Ability to follow directions, provide all required lineman tools, and meet pre-employment screening requirements.
• Preferred or applicable credentials include NCCER power line, power generation maintenance electrician, rigger, crew leadership, project supervision, and project management certifications, plus a state electrical license.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform strenuous outdoor work, climb, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
