Job Summary

Interstates is seeking an Assistant Project Manager based in Aberdeen, South Dakota, to support electrical construction, engineering, instrumentation, automation, and controls projects. The role offers structured training and a path toward project management leadership.

Project Details

Support industrial facility projects involving electrical construction, controls, instrumentation, automation, and related project delivery activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and jobsite leadership with project management and field coordination.
• Manage project control systems, CPM schedules, crew planning, RFIs, submittals, meeting records, and site communications.
• Analyze project controls data, assist with problem solving, and support change-order estimating and takeoffs.
• Participate in client meetings, project reviews, procurement, material expediting, and subcontract administration.
• Promote the company’s safety culture throughout project activities.

Required Experience

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, business administration, engineering technology, or construction management.
• Ability to organize projects, prioritize work, adapt project systems, and communicate effectively with clients, peers, and managers.
• Knowledge of electrical or automation work is not required; training and development are provided.

Compensation and Benefits
