Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Atlanta field operations team. This role supports project delivery while developing expertise in project controls, cost management, communication, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support project accounting, scheduling, subcontracts, purchase orders, and staff coordination.
• Provide administrative support to the Project Superintendent and guide project engineers and other staff.
• Process change requests, change orders, payment applications, and claims when applicable.
• Track costs, prepare reports, review labor performance, and support project financial records.
• Help lead quality management, safety and equal employment programs, and project closeout activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of construction experience on relevant projects.
• Advanced understanding of construction methods and experience managing field staff and owner relationships.
• Strong commitment to jobsite safety, teamwork, communication, and regional mobility.
