Assistant Project Manager - National Travel (December Grad)

Job Summary

Interstates is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a December graduate to support industrial electrical construction, engineering, instrumentation, and automation projects. The role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a pathway to Project Manager within approximately two to three years.

Project Details

Support industrial construction projects nationwide, with assignments typically lasting six months to three years. Employees remain with an assigned project from start to finish and may relocate anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with project execution and field coordination.
• Work with customers, crews, and project teams to keep work progressing.
• Learn to manage schedules, budgets, materials, RFIs, submittals, and logistics.
• Build customer and teammate relationships while developing leadership skills.
• Travel to and support customer project sites nationwide.

Required Experience

• Expected to graduate in December.
• Degree focus in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, motivation, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability and enthusiasm to travel extensively and relocate for project assignments.

Compensation and Benefits
