Assistant Project Manager - Plant

Job Summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support plant construction projects in Oakland. The role is suited to a construction professional with progressive experience and strong coordination, documentation, and field-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and process shop drawings, update as-built records, and prepare detailed drafts.
• Support project scheduling, labor-hour tracking, audits, and routine reporting.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and material suppliers.
• Purchase materials, survey the job site, and help oversee site safety.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Four to seven years of construction experience.
• Experience with construction scheduling systems and a willingness to travel.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary is $100,000-$130,000.
