Assistant Project Manager - Primoris Heavy Civil - Louisiana

Job Summary

Support project management for heavy civil construction work in Louisiana, helping deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Project Details

Primoris Heavy Civil works on transportation infrastructure, including highways, ports, airfields, rail, and marine projects for public agencies and private-sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, execution, and progress monitoring.
• Maintain project records, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field staff, and other project stakeholders.
• Help track budgets, control costs, prepare financial updates, and administer contracts.
• Support safety and quality compliance, attend project meetings, and communicate status updates.
• Visit job sites to review progress and help resolve field issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
• Two to five years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in project support.
• Knowledge of construction practices, project management methods, and blueprint, specification, and contract interpretation.
• Experience with Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore, or similar construction software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites in Louisiana.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
