Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects serving the Greater Phoenix area and the West Coast. This employee-owned organization offers flexible work options and professional development opportunities.

Project Details

The role supports municipal, utility, government, and industrial water clients through integrated planning, design, and construction services. Assignments may include water supply, sewer, groundwater, and related environmental infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs and engineering deliverables for water and wastewater facilities.
• Develop one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, installation details, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with regional and global design teams.
• Perform energy optimization, power system coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Inspect electrical construction and help resolve field issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited or otherwise recognized program.
• At least one year of related experience in electrical design, planning, or construction services.
• Consulting and water/wastewater experience are preferred.
• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or comparable power system analysis software is a plus.
