Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Lead Field Engineer to provide senior oversight for multiple power construction teams, support business development, and manage client relationships. The role combines field operations, project management, estimating, contracts, and organizational leadership.

Project Details

Kiewit Power Constructors delivers union-built EPC power generation facilities and solar projects throughout North America. The position may require relocation to follow project opportunities, with work locations and conditions varying by assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safety performance and reinforce the company’s Nobody Gets Hurt culture.
  • Provide senior oversight of multiple teams through preconstruction and construction.
  • Manage project financial performance, schedules, staffing, contracts, and client relations.
  • Support estimating, proposals, contract negotiations, strategic planning, and new business initiatives.
  • Develop client relationships and represent the organization in community and industry activities.
  • Assist with recruiting, employee development, and retention.

Required Experience

  • At least 10 years of experience in the power construction market.
  • Previous Project Manager or Project Director experience covering construction, engineering, estimating, contracts, and client relations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, or comparable related experience.
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling, contracts, subcontractor coordination, and multidisciplinary project administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, public speaking, staff management, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with project-control software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel and relocate, work overtime and weekends as needed, and meet attendance and safety expectations.
