Civil Superintendent - Battery Storage - Georgia

Job Summary

Overland Contracting Inc. is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead safe, efficient field execution for battery storage construction in Georgia. The role coordinates subcontractors, craft teams, field engineers, and project leadership to deliver work in accordance with safety, quality, schedule, cost, and contract requirements.

Project Details

The position supports battery storage and civil construction work, including site development, trenching, equipment installation, and related work packages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction progress, productivity, installed quantities, costs, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules.
• Resolve field issues involving drawings, quality, safety, quantities, schedule, and commercial matters.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, work plans, punch lists, daily records, timesheets, and payment documentation.
• Develop corrective action plans and job hazard analyses for major erection packages.
• Provide direction, coaching, and performance support to subcontractors, craft professionals, and field engineers.
• Champion safe work practices, quality execution, continuous improvement, and change management.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction field leadership experience on comparable projects.
• Experience with battery storage or civil construction is preferred.
• Preferred background includes site development, trenching, bulldozer operations, GPS, productivity tracking, cost control, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification and a valid driver's license are required.
• Must be able to work outdoors, in confined or uneven areas, around construction hazards, and on shifts of up to 12 hours.
