Construction QA/QC Superintendent

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Construction QA/QC Superintendent to lead field execution on moderately complex projects in Austin. The role oversees project production, safety, quality, scheduling, documentation, subcontractor coordination, and closeout activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, materials, equipment, and field workflow.
• Coordinate daily standups, trade meetings, owner-architect-contractor meetings, and project reviews.
• Develop and maintain work plans, schedules, reports, logs, inspection records, and project documentation.
• Lead safety efforts, investigate incidents, reinforce safe practices, and support an injury-free work environment.
• Establish quality standards, coordinate QA/QC resources, monitor compliance, and support punch and closeout activities.
• Track project risks, changes, costs, staffing, productivity, and deliverables in coordination with project management.
• Support procurement, buyout, pursuit, change negotiation, and preconstruction planning activities.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, project controls, scheduling, cost management, quality processes, and field documentation.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management and accounting software, scheduling tools, and construction technology.
• Experience with Lean principles is preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work nontraditional hours when project conditions require.
