Corporate Equipment Superintendent

Job Summary

Oversee equipment maintenance and management practices at assigned Granite operations, supporting compliance with company standards and applicable legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regularly with local equipment supervisors and inspect equipment to assess its condition.
• Maintain equipment records and repair histories to support effective management of equipment and component life.
• Advise and develop field equipment personnel, helping ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
• Work with dealers and vendors to manage costs and keep informed about emerging equipment technologies.

Required Experience

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• At least six years in the construction equipment field, preferably as a master mechanic or equipment superintendent.
• Practical knowledge of construction equipment operation, maintenance, and repair, along with general construction practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license; able to travel extensively, climb on and off heavy equipment, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to corporate safety initiatives and the company's Code of Conduct.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $115,957–$173,935. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, wellness programs, and a 401(k) match of 100% on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting. Eligible employees may choose from PPO medical plans, including a plan with premiums fully paid by Granite for eligible employees and dependents.
