Senior Project Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction)

Job Summary

Granite is hiring a Senior Project Engineer to coordinate onsite engineering and project controls for heavy civil construction work in Indio, California.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, job costs, engineering assignments, and reporting.
• Provide technical support for construction planning, quality, design interpretation, constructability, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Maintain project procedures and coordinate communication with clients and project management.
• Supervise and mentor project staff.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent training and experience may qualify.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AGTEK Take-off, and Primavera Scheduling software.
• Strong construction engineering knowledge, communication skills, and ability to manage a multidisciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range of $96,541-$144,813. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending options, wellness programs, and a 401(k) with a 100% match on the first 6% of eligible compensation deferred by salaried employees, with immediate vesting. Eligible employees and dependents may have access to a PPO plan with premiums fully paid by Granite.
