Asphalt Paving Foreman

Job Summary

Granite Construction is hiring an Asphalt Paving Foreman to lead paving crews and coordinate safe, efficient work that meets project specifications and schedules.

The role focuses on asphalt paving and road construction in Tucson, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crew schedules, materials, equipment, trucking, and deliveries with project leadership.
• Oversee paving equipment setup and operation, and monitor mat thickness, grade, compaction, asphalt quality, and production.
• Complete crew timecards, daily reports, logs, incident reports, and safety documentation.
• Lead daily crew communications and safety meetings, enforce company safety practices, and train and mentor team members.
• Communicate jobsite delays, changes, and emergencies to the project management team.

Required Experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of asphalt paving experience and 3–5 years in a foreman, supervisor, or lead role.
• Knowledge of asphalt materials, finish grading, patching, paving, and related equipment.
• A valid driver's license is required. GPS grading and survey equipment, blueprint reading, and Microsoft Office experience are preferred.
• Must be able to work day, swing, and night shifts, occasionally extended hours, and outdoors in varied weather and active construction zones.
