Carpenter Foreman

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead carpentry crews and oversee self-performed concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Review work plans and blueprints with the crew, inspect materials, and coordinate fabrication, assembly, and erection tasks.
• Perform concrete and rough carpentry, including formwork, footings, decks, slabs, and columns.
• Check subcontractor work for compliance, track labor and productivity, and arrange consumable materials.
• Coordinate with crane and forklift operators on rigging and signaling, and manage concrete placement logistics.
• Set an example for the team through coaching, feedback, and effective collaboration.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an apprenticeship program.
• At least five years of related experience.
• Ability to interpret plans, work precisely, and use carpentry equipment, rigging, fall protection equipment, and form systems.
• Strong teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; heavier loads require assistance or equipment.
