Project Manager I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Project Manager I and II candidates to oversee construction project delivery, guide project teams, and build strong customer relationships. Level placement depends on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, financial projections, contracts, billings, cost codes, invoices, and change orders.
• Select and oversee trade partners and suppliers while maintaining project schedule, quality, safety, risk management, and compliance.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assign work, support career development, and review team performance.
• Serve as the primary owner contact, address site concerns, and coordinate approvals.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Project Manager I: at least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager II: at least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects valued at $20M or more.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Experience managing complex projects, knowledge of construction law and business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office and project application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $113,500–$170,300 for Project Manager I and $132,100–$198,200 for Project Manager II, with location-based adjustments for certain offices. Eligible for an incentive plan.
