CSA Project Engineer (Mission Critical) Philadelphia, PA

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a full-time, on-site CSA Project Engineer for a mission critical construction project near Philadelphia. The position supports civil, structural, and architectural work while providing a development path toward Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles.

Project Details

The role is based at an active mission critical jobsite and covers civil, structural, and architectural packages that coordinate with later MEP rough-in and equipment installation.

Responsibilities

• Manage submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, drawing revisions, and other project records.
• Review structural, architectural, and civil documents to identify conflicts and interface issues before field release.
• Track procurement, fabrication, delivery dates, quality records, testing reports, and nonconformances.
• Coordinate subcontractors, meeting follow-up, cost and change documentation, monthly reporting, and project closeout.
• Maintain communication with the owner, design team, trade partners, and internal project staff.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent field experience.
• Two to five years supporting civil, structural, and architectural scope on large construction projects.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, shop drawing coordination, construction sequencing, and document control.
• Proficiency with construction management platforms, document control systems, drawing markup software, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization, communication, initiative, and accuracy under schedule pressure.
• Full-time jobsite presence and ability to work around weather, noise, uneven terrain, and required PPE.
