Electrical Coordinator

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and tracking of electrical Construction Work Packages and Installation Work Packages on construction projects. This full-time, staff position is based in Harriman, Tennessee.

Project Details

The Construction team supports infrastructure and industrial markets, including power, water, grid, and related projects. The role is performed in construction-site and office environments and may involve physically demanding work in varying weather and site conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning, issuance, implementation, and progress tracking of electrical CWPs and IWPs.
• Support integrated planning, material takeoffs, bills of material, quantity verification, and commodity tracking.
• Research design, schedule, material, change management, safety, and quality issues.
• Assist with RFI documentation, field responses, turnover records, weekly work-completion verification, and commercial recovery.
• Maintain daily site records and assist with timesheet and charge-code reviews.
• Work with field engineers, superintendents, foremen, craft workers, vendors, and project controls personnel.
• Promote the site safety culture.

Required Experience

• Some construction experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; a four-year degree is also preferred.
• Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings, material takeoffs, and field estimates is preferred.
• Moderate Excel skills, communication ability, organization, and knowledge of safety regulations are preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffolds, work at height, and perform physical construction work in confined or uneven areas.
• Selected candidates may be required to complete background, drug-screen, and motor-vehicle-record checks.
