Job Summary

PCL Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Industrial Project Coordinator to lead and coordinate electrical design and installation on industrial construction projects in Chandler, Arizona (with additional postings in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas). The role sits at the intersection of field coordination, subcontract administration, and engineering support, working across multidisciplinary teams from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quantity takeoffs and surveys to track contract progress and reporting.
  • Communicate with and review trade contractor work against the project schedule, providing day-to-day direction as needed.
  • Administer select subcontracts, including defining work scope, answering inquiries, and monitoring progress.
  • Consult with designers and engineers on drawings, suggesting value-added or alternative construction methods and materials.
  • Support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities; review subcontractor submittals for scope and code compliance.
  • Assist the project manager and superintendent in tracking HSE, cost, schedule, and quality performance.
  • Support change management and the change order process, including pricing and schedule impact analysis.
  • Conduct site inspections to resolve constructability issues and sign off on AHJ requirements and systems commissioning.
  • Maintain project document control, including RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, and as-built drawings.

Required Experience

  • 4–7 years of construction experience in an operational role preferred.
  • Construction trade certification, post-secondary diploma, or bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, HSE, quality, and building materials.
  • Familiarity with construction law, building codes, and ASME piping codes.
  • Ability to manage projects valued between $1.5M and $3M.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management systems; aptitude for new technology.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
