Entry-Level Field Engineer - McNally Tunnelling - Cleveland, OH - 2027

Job Summary

McNally Tunnelling is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support engineering and field operations on a tunnel construction project in Cleveland, Ohio. The role is suited to a recent engineering graduate who can coordinate effectively with project engineers, superintendents, survey teams, craft supervision, and subcontractors.

Project Details

McNally specializes in large-diameter tunneling and underground heavy civil construction. This position supports transportation infrastructure work from a Cleveland project site.

Responsibilities

• Support temporary works engineering, AutoCAD drafting, surveying coordination, and construction planning.
• Monitor production data and help develop work plans to improve project performance.
• Coordinate materials procurement, submittals, project changes, scheduling, and subcontractor activities.
• Assist craft supervision, environmental monitoring, daily reports, and project recordkeeping.
• Help implement construction activities under the direction of project engineering and field leadership.
• Follow company safety, operational, and compliance requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Ability to read contract drawings, prioritize deadlines, communicate professionally, and work independently or with a team.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; AutoCAD and Primavera P6 experience are preferred.
• Construction internship or prior field experience is helpful.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when required and maintain reliable attendance.
