Field Engineer 1

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Field Engineer 1 in Omaha to support field execution, learn construction fundamentals, and develop practical experience alongside project crews and construction professionals.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects using integrated field teams and modern construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned self-perform construction work with tools as part of a craft crew.
• Support punch-list activities, layout, equipment use, and routine field execution.
• Participate in project safety planning, work-plan meetings, Lean activities, and team coordination.
• Build effective working relationships with craft workers, foremen, superintendents, subcontractors, and project staff.
• Learn and apply company standards, construction methods, productivity practices, and equipment procedures.

Required Experience

• Preferred: 0-2 years of construction experience.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, construction management methods, Lean principles, crane flagging, and rigging is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work accurately and promptly, collaborate with others, and develop layout skills.
