Field Engineer 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn is hiring a Field Engineer 2, officially classified as Project Engineer 2, for a predominantly field-based position supporting construction execution and site operations in Nashville. The role offers a path toward Senior Project Engineer or Superintendent 1.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations, crew planning, productivity tracking, self-perform work, and daily project reporting.
• Assist with safety, quality assurance, inspections, punch lists, meetings, and project documentation.
• Maintain drawing, specification, procurement, submittal, delivery, and closeout records.
• Support estimates, schedules, change management, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and project administration.
• Prepare look-ahead plans, daily task plans, crew schedules, and progress updates for project leadership.
• Use CMiC and other construction technologies while applying Lean practices and company standards.
• Build effective working relationships with tradespeople, subcontractors, superintendents, and project support teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, self-perform work, labor productivity, trade scopes, Lean principles, and construction technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written, verbal, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions, including frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
