Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Field Engineer for its Advanced Facilities Group in Kansas City. This early-career role supports field operations on complex industrial, data center, semiconductor, and advanced manufacturing projects while developing practical construction expertise.

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large-scale industrial and manufacturing, data center, semiconductor, mission-critical, and advanced-industry projects for innovative clients.

Responsibilities

• Support project-specific safety practices and promote an injury-free work environment.
• Perform assigned self-perform construction tasks as part of a field crew.
• Build working relationships with craft workers, foremen, superintendents, subcontractors, and other project personnel.
• Participate in work-planning and project meetings as needed.
• Apply construction methods, equipment procedures, Lean practices, layout fundamentals, and productivity standards.
• Collaborate with project teams and develop knowledge of company resources and construction processes.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Zero to two years of construction experience preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, construction management methods, Lean principles, crane signaling and rigging, and layout skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work accurately and on schedule, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
• Participation in a federally required training or apprenticeship program may be preferred depending on location.
