Field Engineer TIC Marine and Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Kiewit/TIC is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer to support marine and heavy civil construction operations in Savannah. The role combines field engineering, office project support, and estimating work on infrastructure projects.

Project Details

TIC Marine & Heavy Civil delivers public and private marine and heavy civil work, including bridges, concrete and steel structures, rail trestles, drainage, tunnels, docks, piers, piling, dredging, lock and dam repairs, and LNG facilities. Most projects are located within approximately 90 miles of Savannah.

Responsibilities

• Calculate installed quantities, support surveying and layout, and compile as-built information.
• Prepare work packages, hazard analyses, daily records, RFIs, reports, and project correspondence.
• Coordinate materials, work groups, subcontractors, schedules, and field operations.
• Support jobsite safety meetings, training, inspections, and operational problem-solving.
• Perform drawing-based takeoffs, engineering calculations, drafting, cost-system updates, and change-order support.
• Assist with purchase orders, subcontracts, customer submittals, and project cost reviews.
• Support bid preparation through plan reviews, historical cost analysis, production research, and quantity takeoffs.

Required Experience

• Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Infrastructure or heavy civil experience is preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Savannah, Georgia.
• Ability to access all areas of active construction sites in varied climates and environments.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, ethics, safety focus, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, meet deadlines, and work overtime or weekends when required.
