Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Concrete/Civil Foreman to lead self-perform carpenter and laborer crews on construction projects based in Southfield, Michigan. This role carries responsibility for safety enforcement, daily crew coordination, and quality oversight under the guidance of a Superintendent or General Foreman.

Responsibilities

• Supervise concrete and civil carpenter and laborer crews to deliver safe, high-quality, and productive work per plans and specifications.
• Enforce jobsite safety requirements, lead stretch-and-flex, and complete daily JHAs and PODs.
• Plan and execute daily work activities, assign tasks, and start crews efficiently.
• Monitor quality, progress, and productivity while minimizing rework and supporting punch list closeout.
• Track crew manpower, equipment, and materials with an eye on crew-level cost impacts.
• Communicate daily progress and challenges to the Superintendent and support project planning.
• Mentor developing crew members and emerging field leaders.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of construction experience with hands-on trade expertise and crew leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead carpenter and laborer crews on concrete and civil scopes.
