Superintendent (Thermal)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a Superintendent to lead field execution for a thermal project in Ashville, Ohio. The role requires full-time presence at the project site and collaboration with project staff, trade partners, clients, and authorities.

Project Details

This position supports an industrial and energy project with responsibility for site conditions, work scopes, logistics, scheduling, safety, and project performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site operations, labor forces, contractors, and trade partner activities.
• Enforce field safety requirements, including pre-task planning and corporate policies.
• Support bidding, scope development, contractor selection, and post-bid discussions.
• Assist with cost control, forecasting, and review of contractor changes.
• Create logistics plans and establish the baseline schedule with subcontractor input.
• Lead pull planning, maintain six-week look-ahead schedules, and report progress and issues to project managers.
• Build productive relationships while resolving field conflicts and complex project issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant industrial and energy construction experience.
• Strong organization, contract awareness, communication, leadership, and trade partner management skills.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage competing priorities, and resolve issues decisively and fairly.
