General Superintendent - Pipe - Heavy Civil

Job Summary

Garney is seeking a General Superintendent to direct field operations for complex heavy civil pipe construction, with responsibility for safe, timely, and quality execution.

Project Details

The role supports large-scale pipe and heavy civil infrastructure work and may require travel or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Direct site activities, subcontractors, crews, equipment, materials, and general conditions.
• Prepare site safety, logistics, and execution plans while maintaining progress against the schedule.
• Lead site meetings, safety briefings, inspections, and coordination with engineers, clients, inspectors, and project management.
• Track daily reports, manpower, issues, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Coach foremen, superintendents, and junior field personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of field construction supervision experience.
• At least 5 years as a superintendent on major civil, infrastructure, or building projects.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Experience with construction management software and mobile field tools.
