Harriman Electrical Superintendent Night Shift

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead field execution for the TVA Kingston project in Harriman, Tennessee, working an overnight schedule.

Project Details

The position supports electrical construction activities at TVA Kingston and includes a one-week new-hire orientation in Overland Park, Kansas. The work is performed in an industrial construction site environment with union coordination strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical foremen, general foremen, direct-hire crews, subcontractors, and field engineers.
• Coordinate construction activities with the Construction Manager and other discipline superintendents.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity, costs, schedule compliance, material availability, and installed quantities.
• Develop three-week look-ahead schedules, corrective action plans, work packages, and job hazard analyses.
• Lead planning meetings, maintain daily site records, review time and progress reports, and manage punch-list completion.
• Resolve field issues involving drawings, technical requirements, subcontractor scope, labor coordination, and work execution.
• Support labor agreement compliance and local union relationships when assigned to union projects.
• Train, mentor, and manage the performance of direct reports and other discipline personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 11 years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager on equivalent projects.
• Previous electrical superintendent experience is strongly preferred.
• Union or union-management experience is strongly preferred.
• Construction Management or Engineering degree and relevant industrial relations, cost control, scheduling, and contract administration training are preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• OSHA 10 certification required.
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts outdoors and in confined or uneven construction areas, including exposure to variable temperatures, noise, hazardous equipment, ladders, scaffolds, and elevated work.
