Job Summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Carpenter Foreman to lead crews and coordinate field operations for highway-heavy construction work.

Project Details

Ames builds heavy civil infrastructure, including highways, bridges, rail, dams, and mines. This role focuses on highway-heavy construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate crews, work schedules, project milestones, and daily site activities.
• Monitor work quality, safety compliance, equipment use, and progress records.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to meet project specifications.
• Train crew members, lead safety meetings, and resolve on-site issues.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of highway-heavy construction experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, with the ability to interpret plans and specifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional construction-related certifications are preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to work in varied weather and physically demanding conditions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
