Job Order Contract Project Manager

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Job Order Contract Project Manager in Phoenix to lead multiple construction work orders from planning through closeout, with responsibility for client relationships, project delivery, team development, and overall performance.

Project Details

The role supports PCL’s Civil West operations and may include design-build work. The manager will coordinate pricing, proposals, contracts, procurement, design, safety, budgets, schedules, quality, commissioning, and closeout across concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct contract administration, project execution, safety planning, cost forecasting, scheduling, quality, and resource management.
• Develop client-focused value engineering proposals and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
• Negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, revisions, and progress payments while monitoring delivery.
• Manage contract requirements, project risks, opportunities, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• For design-build work, coordinate design progress, constructability, quality reviews, deliverables, and design-management plans.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Five to eight years of progressive construction experience; leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, codes, contracts, safety, and quality practices.
• Ability to manage budgets and schedules, build stakeholder relationships, and apply health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management tools, scheduling software, and construction technology.
