Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee project delivery, finances, contracts, schedules, safety, and trade coordination, partnering with the Superintendent to guide the team. Assignments may be projects up to $15 million or designated scopes within larger projects.

AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets. Project assignments may include projects up to $15 million or defined scopes on larger, complex jobs.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution with a focus on safe work, quality, schedule, and timely completion.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent on schedules, closeout, and field execution; manage submittals, changes, procurement, and project documentation.
• Manage trade contractor procurement, contracts, payments, and coordination with owners, designers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Develop and monitor budgets, cost projections, cash flow, pay applications, and project profitability.
• Assess constructability, project risks, scopes, bids, and contract terms during preconstruction and buyout.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among project participants.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus 6+ years managing construction projects over $5 million; alternatively, an associate’s degree in construction management plus 8+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software; Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore, and Bluebeam are preferred.
• Knowledge of value engineering, life-cycle costing, project financials, and multiple contract types under CMR and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with compliance with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel and work in varying, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $116,000-$192,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
