MEP Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations and coordinate project teams, trades, and suppliers on construction projects in the Tempe area.

Project Details

Projects are generally valued below $75 million, with occasional responsibility for designated scopes on larger, complex projects. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct site activities, safety, schedule, quality, productivity, and trade coordination.
• Manage project drawings, materials, equipment, budgets, schedules, inspections, and site reporting.
• Develop and implement project-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, trade contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, project closeout, and business development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 6 years of directly related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and at least 10 years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of plans and specifications, value engineering, life-cycle costing, safety, and construction operations.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $87,000–$167,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
