Water / Wastewater Construction Project Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead water and wastewater construction projects, coordinating project teams and managing safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, and trade partners.

Project Details

The role primarily supports water and wastewater projects in Minnesota. Projects are generally valued up to $15 million, or involve designated scopes within larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project execution with the Superintendent, maintaining safety, schedule, quality, and closeout objectives.
• Coordinate design teams, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers, and manage project meetings, communications, submittals, changes, and procurement.
• Support preconstruction through constructability reviews, risk assessments, scope development, estimating, and trade contractor buyout.
• Manage project budgets, cost projections, cash flow, pay applications, and financial reporting.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field and 6+ years managing construction projects over $5 million; or an associate’s degree in construction management and 8+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software. Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore, and Bluebeam are pluses.
• Experience with value engineering, life-cycle costing, project financial processes, multiple contract types, and CMR and Design-Build delivery.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with meeting company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel and work in varied, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $87,000-$185,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, a health savings account, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
