Manager, Asset Management Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) - EAM/FSM

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Manager-level Asset Management Systems Subject Matter Expert to lead consulting engagements and solution development for utility clients. The role combines client delivery, enterprise systems expertise, and business development across Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Field Service Management (FSM).

Project Details

Projects support electric generation, transmission, distribution, and gas transmission and distribution organizations, with a focus on asset management, work management, field service, system integration, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Manage client engagements and lead delivery for electric and gas utility clients.
• Define architecture and implementation strategies for EAM and FSM environments.
• Design secure, scalable solutions using platforms such as IBM Maximo, Oracle, KloudGin, Trimble, IFS, SAP, and Hexagon.
• Oversee integrations, evaluate emerging technologies, and translate business needs into technical plans.
• Support business development, develop service offerings, and present recommendations and implementation plans.
• Manage scope, resources, team assignments, quality reviews, and client expectations.
• Coach team members and build effective relationships with client stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in a business or consulting environment, including experience managing medium-sized engagements.
• At least 5 years supporting electric or gas utility clients and 3 years working with asset management solutions in those environments.
• Strong knowledge of asset management, work order systems, cloud infrastructure, and utility or public-sector implementations.
• Experience with one or more asset management platforms, such as Maximo, Hexagon, KloudGin, IFS, SAP, or Trimble.
• Advisory experience in asset management, work management, or field service management, with strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The posted salary range is $131,010-$218,790 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, paid time off, company-matched 401(k), wellness programs, and employee stock ownership. Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after the first 90 days, subject to management discretion. Relocation is not available.
