ME Engineer 2 Mechanical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to support mission-critical and advanced-facility construction projects. This role works with project teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients throughout preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group delivers large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects across the country.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical systems, develop system schedules, and support sequencing solutions.
• Prepare commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, testing procedures, and functional testing activities.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, design documents, and constructability issues.
• Perform site inspections, document findings, and support quality and timely project delivery.
• Develop budgetary M/E estimates, scopes of work, bid analyses, and subcontractor selection input.
• Participate in project delivery from startup through closeout and communicate work products to clients and project teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction and/or engineering experience.
• Ability to read plans, drawings, and specifications and understand construction management means and methods.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills and intermediate MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external project partners and use basic construction M/E tools and software.
