MEP Superintendent II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an MEP Superintendent II to lead field coordination and oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work on complex construction projects.

The role supports multiple complex data center projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise MEP work, coordinate field issues with project partners, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, site logistics, and tools with the project schedule.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability, and resolve plan or specification discrepancies with design engineers.
• Help develop and manage project schedules, including three- and six-week look-aheads, and collaborate with partner superintendents.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction or a related engineering field, or 10 years of trade experience.
• At least 10 years of construction experience, including two years in a supervisory role; mechanical or electrical contractor experience is preferred. The posting also lists 15 years of construction experience.
• Ability to manage multiple complex data center projects and organize concurrent tasks.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, understanding of construction law and business practices, and a current driver’s license.
• Strong communication, listening, customer service, and professional skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $130,100–$195,200, with location-based increases in certain markets. The position is eligible for an incentive plan.
