Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical construction projects for its national life science group. The role owns project execution, administration, financial performance, and client coordination from preconstruction through closeout.

Project Details

The position supports pharma and biopharma projects, including preconstruction planning, estimating, GMP development, procurement, construction administration, and final closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Direct project teams and coordinate owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, field operations, and internal resources.
  • Lead safety planning, preconstruction, estimating, buyout, subcontract awards, submittals, scheduling, and procurement.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, change orders, risk, pay applications, and project profitability.
  • Lead progress, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings.
  • Maintain project documentation and resolve schedule, scope, quality, legal, and safety issues.
  • Oversee project closeout, including punch lists, financials, contracts, and warranties.
  • Support client presentations, marketing activities, and external relationship development.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience includes 10 or more years in construction management and at least 6 years on pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical projects.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, CMiC or similar project accounting systems, scheduling software, BIM, construction technology, and Lean practices.
  • Ability to develop budgets, GMPs or hard bids, range estimates, project schedules, and project business plans.
  • Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.

Compensation and Benefits

Additional Work Conditions

Assignments may involve project sites or offices, travel or relocation, non-traditional hours, and exposure to hot or cold conditions. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform occasional standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
