Piping Coordinator - GA

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Piping Coordinator to support construction work package development, field execution, material coordination, and progress tracking for basic projects. This individual contributor role works closely with discipline superintendents, field engineering, project controls, craft personnel, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Develop, issue, implement, and track piping Construction Work Packages and Installation Work Packages.
• Participate in integrated planning and coordinate package buy-in with superintendents and general foremen.
• Prepare material takeoffs and bills of material, verify installed commodities, and monitor work completion.
• Support resolution of design, schedule, change management, safety, quality, and material delivery issues.
• Coordinate RFI documentation and constructible responses with field engineering.
• Review contractor and craft look-ahead schedules, maintain daily site logs, and support punch list reporting.
• Compile turnover information and construction records, support commercial recovery activities, and coordinate with project controls.
• Promote the site safety culture and support quality inspections, document control, and continuous improvement.

Required Experience

• Typically 2 or more years of construction, construction management, or design experience in similar facility construction.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; a four-year degree is also preferred.
• Working knowledge of cost control, scheduling, engineering drawings, construction documents, material takeoffs, and field estimating.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and ambiguity-management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills preferred.
• Must be able to complete applicable background, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks.
• Ability to work safely in construction environments, including confined areas, elevated work, uneven surfaces, temperature extremes, and around hazardous equipment.
