Lead substation and electrical craft crews supporting power delivery construction and maintenance work in Indiana.

Project Details

The role focuses on electrical substations and related power infrastructure, including high-voltage equipment, grounding systems, steel structures, conduit, and cable installation.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily crew activities and adjust work sequences to meet project schedules and client requirements.
• Lead, coach, and manage substation and electrical craft personnel.
• Inspect, maintain, test, troubleshoot, repair, and commission transformers, breakers, relays, capacitor banks, regulators, and related equipment.
• Install and troubleshoot power, control, and communication cables, grounding systems, steel, and conduit.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, work orders, and construction plans.
• Perform approved switching, energization, startup, circuit testing, emergency outage response, and restoration support.
• Coordinate tools, materials, supplies, records, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of electrical, utility, substation, or power delivery experience.
• Experience planning, scheduling, and managing craft crews.
• Technical or vocational training, an electrical technology or related associate degree, trade-school certification, or apprenticeship completion is preferred.
• A valid state electrical license is required.
